So today was my brother's birthday (Theo). Last week I picked up a card for him, and I was going to mail it next day to him in Ohio. But before I was going to send it yesterday, I discovered he was going to be here for his birthday. Funny thing is, this morning when I opened the card to sign it, it said "Happy birthday DAD". This was a problem, so I had to find another card for him. At least I have a card for Dad's birthday picked out already.
Cards now a days seem to be getting pretty sucky. I remember looking for a card for Mom on mother's day. No cards I picked up expressed what I wanted to say. None of them were funny enough or clever enough. The same thing happened when I went to get a card for Theo. The one card that I did find, ended up to be a "Dad" card...
Next time I think I may try my hand at making my own card. This of course means I will have to stay on top of things and plan ahead, but I think I am up to it...
Any way... that's all for now. Remember, an old Chinesee man once said, "A thousand mile journey begins with one step...". And later Mr. T added, "I pity the fool who doesn't take that step!" Peaces of later.
